There are a few words that are often used interchangeably in conversations about cancer treatments using Vitamin B17. These are:
- Vitamin B17
- Nitrilosides
- Laetrile
- Amygdalin
- Cyanide or anthocyanins
Each of these terms effectively relates to the same naturally occurring component of a range of plants that are helpful for people with cancer. Many of the foods in this book contain this component. The most famous of these foods is apricot kernels, but anything with a bitter flavour and a purple colouring is likely to contain anthocyanins.
My first introduction to laetrile was through a book called World Without Cancer, by G Edward Griffin. I had a health food shop in the 1970’s and had to sell the book shrink wrapped.
